Autumn’s Piddling

Autumn’s Piddling
Inhaling
Autumn’s rustic beauty
As trees laid bare
One by one
leisurely stripped
Naked of their covering
Seemingly
At a snails piddle pace

CONFESSION

CONFESSION
Confession.
I’m addicted
Beside myself
Convoluted, conflicted
Cocked, Coiled, so eager to spring!
Ejected, projectile, still developing
Speed, wind, and a brisk bustle
To capture that prompt
For this I must hustle
Quickly descending, one thing in mind
Pounce on the manna, that prompt is mine
Salivating satisfaction as I sink my teeth
Of those play on words
When they sink beneath
Ahhhhhh…a sweet assimilation
Yes, I confess
There is an addiction.

Deprived

This poem is dedicated to the vast array of items broken in my life time including cups, mugs, bowls plates etc. R.I.P.
November PAD Challenge:  Day 5  Prompt write a broken poem

Deprived
Shattered fragments reflect the whole
Of countless shards dispersed
in utter confusion splayed
reckless, across the surfaces
Tell me how or what?
Has broken thy cohesiveness?
Pondering anew your shambles, contemplating your hopelessness
Temporarily resisting the truth
You’re forever deprived of usefulness

Unexpected Interval

November PAD Challenge:  Day 4  Prompt  Write a surprise poem

Unexpected Interval
Alright, where’s my bed
Not a thought, a penny, poem in my head
Not a poem to wax, sole mission to relax
Dishes, clothes, in piles and stacks
Well, I’ll post a poem then rest awhile
Then make my way to those stacks and piles
One eye, two eyes shut
SSSSSSSSSSSNNNNNNNNNNNZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…
7AM rise
Only to my suprise
That I snoozed through day 4!!!!!

Sort of out of Sorts

November PAD Challenge:  Day 3  Write a "sort of" poem

Sort of out of Sorts
Sort of… out of Sorts
You could say
From the break of dawn until the end of the day
Out of whack, twisted, and all deranged
I often think my life is kind of strange
Bewildered, befuddled a little confused
By the time I reach my computer
To stir up some muse
like old peanut butter in need of a stir
add the oil, elbow grease
It’s all been a blur.
Sorting through words to express my commands
Observing at a distance
The PAD in the stands
Sorting through poems, comments, replies
Sifting each prompt with a smile, with a sigh
Sorting through feelings across many heart strings
Staying in the challenge amongst so many things
Steadfastly unwavering ever constantly
November PAD challenge
It’s only day three!

At The Lovely Feast

November PAD Challenge:  Day 2  Prompt  poem started by an epigraph

At The Lovely Feast
Are you havin’ fun yet?
-Unknown
Are you having fun yet?
At this lovely feast?
Rampant ramblings of mind, spirit, and heart
unshackled discharges perfected to an art

Fourth Quarter (a nonet)

November PAD Challenge:  Day 2  Prompt use a epigraph (quote) to kickstart your poem

Fourth Quarter (a nonet)
” I began to think my time had come, as the saying is”
-Buffalo Bill
Fourth quarter, put me in the game, Coach
The whole season is on the line
Down by two, one minute left
Sprinting, juke, stop, sidestep
Split the double team
Give me the rock!
Angled shot
Fearless…
Win!
Sometimes I can’t poem until late at night around ten or eleven pm. So I feel like it’s crunch time “fourth quarter”, to get a poem in before midnight.
Have fun!
Happy poeming!
